Arboreal Reverie invites viewers to investigate photographic surfaces beyond the narrative. This project compresses the structure of a tree by exposing multiple photographs and integrating them into one. The resulting photograph breathes with a special textural quality, also a testament to the intricate interplay between the tangible and the hidden information. The deliberate proportions and calculated exposure times create a porous structure inspired by the rhizome models proposed in A Thousand Plateaus. I expect to transform the readable landscape into an experimental production approach rather than a narrative image.

This project uses a fusion of crafted photograms and darkroom practice to reveal a possible visual language of the intrinsic link between canopy figures and multiple exposure techniques. The lacuna present in the photograph, where the crown gap should be, serves as a metaphor for the intangible connections that bind viewers to natural objects and become a junction of photo boundaries.
